This Monmouth Junction, NJ vinyl liner pool had been losing approximately 1 inch of water per day for two years.We confirmed that the deep-end skimmer line was broken, but pinpointing it presented an unusual challenge. Two-Year Pool Leak Pinpointed in Monmouth Junction, NJ

This Staten Island homeowner knew his vinyl liner pool was leaking because it had lost water over the winter. During the summer, however, the water loss was extremely sporadic. Tiny Pinhole Found in a Vinyl Pool Liner | Staten Island, NY

This Gladstone, NJ vinyl liner pool held water while the filtration system was off but lost approximately 10" overnight when the system was running.The customer’s pool company believed the Aqua Genie return line was leaking because the pool held water when the system was shut down and the return was covered.We pressure tested the Aqua Genie return line, and it held pressure.The actual problem was a failed multiport valve. While the pump was running, water was passing through the valve and being discharged through the backwash line behind the equipment shed.Shutting down the system stopped the water loss, but not because the Aqua Genie return was covered. Pool Lost 10 Inches Overnight Through a Bad Multiport Valve

After being away for a week, this Middletown, NJ homeowner returned to find the water in their vinyl liner pool well below the skimmer.We properly tested the pool and found the source of the water loss: a hairline crack inside one of the stair jet fittings. Hairline Crack Causes Major Pool Water Loss in Middletown, NJ

A Freehold, NJ homeowner’s pool lost approximately four inches of water during only one hour of operation - but the pool did not have an actual leak.Within approximately ten minutes of arriving, Atlantic Pool Leak Detection found that the backwash valve had been left open. Whenever the pool was running, it pumped pool water through the backwash line and discharged it into the rear of the property.This video shows the amount of water pouring from the backwash line. I had been struggling with a continual leak in my inground pool for nearly 2 years constantly adding water to get the pool water level up with increasing water bills.
