Swimming Pool Inspection Services
NJ, PA & NY Pool Inspections
If you are buying a home with a pool, a pool inspection can and should be done during the winter (even with the pool closed). Many home buyers assume that a pool inspection cannot be done over the winter. This simply is not true. At Atlantic Pool Inspections, we do pool inspections all year round. While winter pool inspections in New Jersey will take longer than those done during the summer, it will provide invaluable information to any home buyer prior to their commitment to purchase a home. Anyone buying a house with a pool in the winter, should have the opportunity to see the pool before buying the home, and they should know exactly what is happening underneath the pool cover. As a home buyer, you want to have a pool inspection in the winter to know the condition of the pool and potential repair costs before signing an agreement and not after.
We are NSPF (National Swimming Pool Foundation) Certified Pool Inspectors (CPI), with over 15 years of experience. Our home inspections for the pool are non-invasive visual evaluations of the pool environment that include (but are not limited to):
*Pool and Spa Equipment: Pumps, Filters, Heaters, Time Clocks, Control Panels
*Pool and spa: Interior Finish/Liner, Tile, Coping, Decking
*Pool Barriers: Fences, Gates and Locking Mechanisms
*Misc. Equipment: Ladders, Rails, Drain Covers , Pool Lights, Pool Cleaners
As part of our pool inspection, we provide a detailed report noting everything that is present, as well as any issues that need to be remedied. We will make recommendations on how to correct any issues that are discovered, and will estimate their costs. We do not perform any of the services we may recommend, so there will never be a conflict with our pool inspection reporting. We do not open/close pools, service pools, or repair and/or renovate pools. We are strictly pool inspectors. You will have peace of mind knowing that we will never try to sell you any type of product or service after the inspection.
FAQs:
1. What happens during a pool inspection?
As part of our pool inspection, we visually inspect all aspects of the pool, including (but not limited to) the pool equipment, pool structure, decking, pool barriers, etc.. We will create a detailed report with our recommendations for repair.
2. How long does a typical winter pool inspection take to complete?
The type of pool can impact the time it takes to complete a pool inspection, but most inspections are completed within 60-90 minutes. We are very focused on spending time with each home buyer to ensure they fully understand what they will have once they take ownership of the home. This is especially important for first time pool owners.
